Summer is in its heat of getting that vacation in before the kids go back to school and finding those last minute travel deals that fit your already stretched budget.

Then that is a fun gift, if it doesn't happen to you, rental cars etc etc will be adjusting their fees on a daily basis and just be prepared for that and expect it; hotels, understand that airlines resorts. When you are planning your vacation keep a folder with all of the information and put it in your carry on.

Create a mental montra to say to yourself to keep you centered and into joy and adventure. Puzzles books and other items to entertain yourself if there are delays, a good book, pack snacks. Be organized and know what you are going to check and be prepared for surprises, get a good nights sleep and map out your time for relaxed travel and arrival at the airport. Know that your vacation will have twists and turns, be really good to yourself.

Find out where they are from and what their adventure is about, meet the people in line with you. Plan for adventure surprises, give yourself some delayed arrival time and that will take a lot of pressure off of you, don't book important tours the day of arrival or the next day if at all possible. Include that part in the adventure not just the destination. When you approach it with type of mentality the getting to the destination and getting home won't be such a challenge. View your whole vacation as an adventure from the planning it to actually taking off on it, travel is an adventure so approach it that way.
